David A. Mize

David A. Mize, 42, of Columbus, passed away at February 21, 2020 at I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. David was born December 19, 1977 in Columbus, the son of David A. Terri L. Thompson Mize. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was always a thrill seeker. David loved telling the story of how he broke a bone riding a 4 wheeler in Aspen, Colorado while on a trip with his dad. He always wanted to change the world, and was always willing to take in any kids around the neighborhood to make sure they had a place they always felt welcome. David is survived by his children Courtney Faulkner of Columbus and David A.J. Mize of Greensburg; his father David A. Mize of Elizabethtown; 3 grandchildren; sisters Danie’l Mize of Columbus and Kori Mize of West Virginia; 6 aunts and uncles; as well as several cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Terri L. Secrest in 2002; a brother Kraig Mize; grandparents Jerome and Jean Mize, and Jeanette Thompson; as well as 1 aunt. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday February 28, 2020 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Marty Wright officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of services friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
