David Evanko
April 22, 1951 ~ February 19, 2024
David “the fishing guy” Evanko, 72, passed away on February 19, 2024, after battling health issues for over 20 years. David married Tricia Jones on January 16, 1982. “He was my best friend who became my husband. We spent more than 42 wonderful years together.”
He was born on April 22, 1951, to Lawrence and Laverne Herhuth Evanko. David was a jack of all trades, master of none. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help someone out in any way he could. David was constantly sharing snippets of wisdom with others. One of David’s strongest desires was to teach others that there are always two sides to every story. Without both sides, there can be no truth.
David was husband to Tricia; father to Tiffany Evanko, David Evanko Jr.; grandfather to Loki and Athena locally; brother to John (Mary) Evanko, Larry (Jo) Evanko, Dennis Evanko, and Mary (Dennis) Stanley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; as well as his brothers Robert and Joseph.
In keeping with David’s wishes, he will be cremated. There will be a Celebration of David’s life at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 2123 Greasy Creek Road, Nashville, IN 47448.
