David Justin "D.J." Hines January 12, 1992 - December 30, 2006 David Justin D.J. Hines, 14, of Columbus died at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at Columbus Regional Hospital. D.J. was a freshman at Jefferson Education Center. He was an avid fisherman. He loved children, animals and hanging out with his friends. He enjoyed visiting the elderly and was loved by the residents at Hickory Creek Retirement Home. David was born Jan. 12, 1992, in Monroeville, Ala., the son of David Smokey Hines of Columbus and Nicki A. Stacey Hines of Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Survivors include his parents; a brother, Chris J. Hines of Columbus; his grandmother, Alice Mooney of Goodway, Ala.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mack Stacey, Iva Hines-Stigdon and Arthur D. Hines; and a brother, Daniel Ray Hines. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. BURIAL: Deer Cemetery in Franklin, Ala.
