David Larry Schrader February 21, 1934 - April 06, 2011 David Larry Schrader, 77, of Nashville, died at 10:27 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Mr. Schrader served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. He was employed by Cummins Engine Company from 1955 to 1985 where he was vice-president of service and sales. He was with Cummins Distributorship in Los Angeles before moving back to Nashville, Indiana, in 1985. He and his uncle, LaVern Schrader, bought the Nashville General Store and Bakery. He retired from the store in 1998. David was a loyal member of Gideons International from 1990 to the present. He held many local offices and was State Vice President and State President for three years. He was also a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Dave was a loving and caring husband and father who also adored his grandchildren. Born in Indianapolis, Feb. 21, 1934, Mr. Schrader was the son of William and Lelia Schrader Erfmeier. He married Judith Tremain June 23, 1956. Survivors include his wife; a son, David Todd Schrader of Nashville; a daughter, Andrea Jill (Dennis) Hardt of Avon; grandchildren, Jessica Schrader, Ashley Hardt, Brooke Hardt, Joshua Schrader and Benjamin Hardt; and stepbrothers, Bill Erfmeier of Hartsville and Bob Erfmeier of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Brandon Schrader. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Monday, April 11, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. CALLING: 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
