Deborah Ann Neal

Debbi Neal, 58, of Columbus, IN passed away peacefully on November 13th, 2020 at her home. Debbi was born July 14th, 1962 in Columbus, IN. She graduated from Columbus East High School in 1980, and then moved to Terre Haute, IN to attend Indiana State University. She received a degree as a Registered Nurse in 1983. Debbi was very proud to be a nurse, and over the years worked at Clay County Hospital in Brazil, IN, as well as Union and Regional Hospitals in Terre Haute, IN. She had many coworkers over the years whom she loved dearly. She had recently moved from Brazil back to Columbus to be near her mother. Debbi enjoyed gardening and planting flowers, being near a pool, spending time with family and friends (especially the ‘B.O.B.s,’) and of course spoiling her grandchildren, Hunter and Malayna. Debbi is survived by her daughter Courtney DeWeese and husband Joe of Brazil, grandchildren Malayna and Hunter DeWeese, parents Carolyn Endicott of Columbus and Donald Wood of French Lick, brother Don Wood II and wife Isabelle of Haines City, Florida, niece Shawnee Elkins and husband Anthony of Columbus, a great niece Mahara, as well as many extended family members, friends, and ‘NaNa Princesses.’ She is preceded in death by her step-father Roy Endicott. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Brazil, Indiana. I lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorial contributions in Debbi’s name be sent to an organization benefiting health care or the Special Olympics of Indiana.
