Deloris Ann Sutherland, 81, of Columbus, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior at 7:41 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Deloris was born January 15, 1944 in Shelbyville, Indiana. She was the daughter of Charley and Martha (Brinson) Phelps. She was a cosmetologist for a combined 30 years at Osco Drugs and Northside Drugs of Columbus. Known for her impeccable taste and an eye for the latest trends, Deloris devoted her career to the art of making people feel beautiful with an artisan's hand and a heart full of compassion. Her memory will be treasured like the delicate touch of a makeup brush—a lasting imprint of her craft and kindness. She enjoyed playing euchre with friends and family, as well as traveling. A memorial service will be at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Wes Jones officiating. Calling will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Honoring Deloris’ request, cremation was chosen. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Survivors include her son, Troy (Carol) Sutherland; brothers, Larry, Bobby, David (Laura) Phelps, and Tim Phelps; sisters, Katie Marshall, Patti McColley, Pam (Ron) Streeval, Michele Phelps, and Tammy (Ron) Stephens; grandson, Kaden (Emily) Sutherland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Martha Phelps. Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. I am so sorry for your loss, I worked with De at Osco drugs, we went out a few times for dinner , another lady that worked there Ginny Young she went to heaven a few weeks ago De I hope you run into Ginny she always thought a lot of you, so did I you were great at job and making people happy , love you De you were a beautiful lady ❤️

  2. I am so sorry to hear about Dee passing. We worked together at Osco drug for 30 years. We went out many times for dinner and enjoyed working together. She was a very special person with impeccable taste from decorating to dressing and her make up was flawless always! I will keep you all in my prayers! Troy know she was always so proud of you may god bless you all!
