Diane L. Arnett

Diane L. Arnett, 73, of Columbus, passed away, July 4, 2020, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Diane was born February 5, 1947 in Columbus, the daughter of Perry and RoseMary Denny Crippen. She married Richard N. Arnett, who preceded her in death in 2000. She then met her longtime companion Ivan Smith in 2006. Diane was a member of the Eagles Lodge #741 and the Moose Lodge #398. She enjoyed traveling, seeing the ocean, playing golf, fishing, doing crafts, and baked fantastic pies. She is survived by her daughters Teresa (Mark) Hawkey of Lima, Ohio, Shannon (Dave) Ault of Hope, Mary (Jim) Bergman of Troy, Ohio, and Christina Bell of Columbus; grandchildren Erica Raisor, Corey Callahan, Denny Ramsey, Shelbey Zachariah, Sydney Zachariah, Alissa Bergman, Sarah Hefner, Brittney McElroy, and Kyle Hawkey; great-grandchildren Luke and Cecilia Raisor, Ryan Chappelow, Mia & Corbin Hefner, as well as Kensley and Kambrie McElroy; as well as a sister Carolyn (Dave) Lohr of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard; her mother; as well as her brother Michael Crippen. A graveside service will be held on at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at Garland Brook Cemetery with Pastor Adam Carrigan officiating. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
