Dianne Jo Waltz, 46, of Wallace Avenue, died at 9:20 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012, at her home. Dianne had owned Teddy Bear Daycare since 1983 and loved taking care of the kids who came there. She loved to cook and spend time with her friends. Dianne was a very loving person who was willing to do anything for anyone. Born in Beech Grove September 30, 1965, Dianne was the daughter of Tom Carmer and Judy Pelley Carmer. She is survived by her parents, of Columbus; sisters, Rachel Waltz and Lonett (Michael) Louden, both of Columbus; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, T.J. Carmer. FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p .m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Father Martin Peter officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice of charities.

  5. My little Grandson, Jesse James, stayed with Dianne for over a year at her day care. He had been in foster care and removed from his Mother and was traumatized and scared after all he had been through. Dianne was kind and loving and sweet and she made a real difference in his adjustment at a difficult time in his little life. I’m sure there is a special place in heaven for Dianne watching over all the little children and I can visualize her giving hugs and laughing that great laugh she had. Even after Jesse no longer went to Teddybear Daycare he talked about “Miss Dianne” She will be missed.

  6. dianne will always be loved and remebered foe her kindness and caring foe children and animals. In our eyes, Diney-Doodle is a queen-like hero for all creatures. She helped and encouraged all of us whenever we needed it.(Believe me, someone always needs it). We loved visiting Dianne. She was a pleasant hostess, As her aunt, I really felt her love for me. Yet, I am no one special, she loved us all. We are blessed to have been in her life. MIssing her will be a long process. I have so many happy memories to keep in my heart.

I am sorry I didnt ever meet you at one of the many meetings from childhood connection but being a daycare provider myself I am truley sadden to know we have lost a special person my prayers go out to your family and your little ones that are probably feeling very lost right now I am not always good with words so I am sorry if this is confusing I just wanted to say my prayers go to your family in this sad time

  10. Dianne’s family: I am Jerilyn McDonald Brewer’s aunt and I remember Dianne and Jerilyn and her sister Jodi being friends. I was shocked to hear the news. Dianne was a sweet girl and I am thankful for her friendship to my nieces back years ago when they moved to Columbus. She has now earned her angel wings. RIP Dianne!

  14. Dianne was a wonderful babysitter to my children amber and aj.they enjoyed going to the teddy bear club all the time.It was nice to be able to leave your children and know they were well taken care of.

I know that heaven has received a very special lady that will be taking care of all of those childern up there. She had a very big heart and made everyone feel loved.

  6. God was ready for another angel. Although it’s hard to accept, we know you are watching over us and protecting us from above. I know you are no longer suffering and am thankful for that. Without your love a lot of us kids wouldn’t be where we are today. We love you so much and miss you so much. Our hearts are so heavy from losing you. We will never forget anything you taught us and the advice you gave us. We are forever thankful for having you in our lives.
