I’ll never forget the time when we had a bat flying around in our upstairs apartment on 5th Street in Columbus. I was probably around 12 years old. All of us kids were screaming cus that thing was swooping down over our heads. We finally told Sheila and Dickie. Dickie found a 2 by 4 and went chasing it down the hall way. I remember it like it was yesterday. Dickie finally chased the bat into a bedroom. I laughed til I cried. He made sure it was dead. 😂 I just thought I’d share that. I remember it like it was yesterday. RIP Dickie! Thanks for being a good husband to my Aunt Sheila. You were a good man.
Dickie was such a nice man and he always helped me out when I needed things done at North. I loved his kind heartedness and willingness to do whatever. I was saddened to read about his passing. May his memory live forever. Prayers go out to the family.

Thoughts and prayers to the family. Dickey was a great guy and a great friend to many. Always wore a big smile.
My dad (James Green) and I worked with Dicky for many years at Bartholomew County Schools. Last seen him at my father’s funeral and we got to catch up. You could always see him at a yard sale. Will miss seeing you around Dicky. You will be missed!
