He will be missed but I know where he is. He always sat behind me in the back row to the right. Sometimes I would stop singing so I could just listen to him. He had a beautiful voice.

I have many memories of Uncle Donald. He loved to sing and I enjoyed hearing him sing. He always sang from the heart and to hear him sing was to feel the heart of the song writer as they wrote the lyrics. One of his favorites, ” The Lighthouse”. I’ve never once heard him sing the entire song, there was always a pause ….with uplifted hands and a heart of gratitude. He would be so overcome with emotion we would sing with him. It made all us remember that salvation was impossible without Christ. We didn’t deserve it, but Jesus gave it all for us.
He was also so silly and a hoot to be around! One of my favorite things. He would come up and give me a hug and say, ” you know, you are my favorite niece!” It would make me feel so special! Then he would follow by hugging my sisters and say the same thing! You gotta love Uncle Donald!
Many prayers going up for Donna, Scott, and their families. We will all miss him very much!

I am very thankful to have gotten to know him. We would have sing times at mom’s when he would come down. He surely loved to sing songs about his Saviour. I enjoyed hearing his alto voice.
We, our church, was having a fund raiser for the kids to go to church camp one year. Uncle Donald gave 300.00 to our church for my kids to go to church camp. He was very thankful for the work the Lord did in his sons life while going to church camp. He wanted to help make a difference in other’s lives. Thank you Uncle Donald. I love your heart for God and heavenly things.
