Donald Lee Graham Sr., 82, of Old State Road 9, formerly of Road 120S, died at 4:48 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at his home. Mr. Graham served eight years in the U.S. Navy and retired from Cummins Inc. He was a member of Elizabethtown United Methodist Church, was a Boy Scout leader for nine years and enjoyed spending winters in Florida and time with his family. Born in Bartholomew County Aug. 14, 1928, Mr. Graham was the son of Ralph and Inez McCoy Graham. He married Florence Milby Jan. 26, 1950. Survivors include his wife; a son, Donald L. Graham Jr. of Hope; a daughter, L. Gayle (Samuel) Crane of Columbus; a brother, David Keith Graham of Columbus; grandchildren, Kevin R. (Autumn) Graham, Crystal M. Crane, Shannon D. (Jon) Humphrey and Jonathon G. Crane; and great-grandchildren, Blaine Humphrey, Morgan G. Humphrey, Hannah Graham and Chase Ward. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenneth R. Graham; and brothers, Gerald Leon Graham and Jackie Eugene Graham. FUNERAL - will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. CALLING - will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday. BURIAL - will be at Garland Brook Cemetery and military graveside rites will be conducted by Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

  1. I will remember the fun times that we all had going camping every summer and telling jokes about Kentucky. I could not have asked for better uncle. Thank you for all the memories, you will be missed by all.

He did his best to scatter cheer, day after day year after year, he knew the value of a smile, knew it was always well worthwhile To speak kind words, to do kinds deeds to oft relieve anothers needs. NOT DEAD but only promoted, he has entered his home above and there with the divine Master he will finish his labor of love
