Donald M. Pope November 12, 1931 - January 11, 2009 Donald M. Pope, 77, of Lafayette Avenue died at 9:18 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Mr. Pope retired from Naval Avionics. He was a member of First Christian Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Born in Linton Nov. 12, 1931, Mr. Pope was the son of Dwight and Ruth Strong Pope. He married Anita Roberts June 7, 1959. Survivors include his wife; sons, Glenn (Chris) Pope of Pittsboro and Jeffery (Teresa) Pope of Bargersville; a brother, John Pope of Columbus; and grandchildren, Anastacia (Scott) Dobkins, Tonisha (Derek Bailer) Pope, Gracie Pope, Matthew Pope, Sarah Pope and Hannah Pope. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Glenn and Mary Roberts. Funeral Information VISITATION: Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Hogg officiating.
