Donald R. Hiatt August 21, 1945 - May 18, 2010 Donald R. Hiatt, 64, of Scipio, died at 6:05 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at his home. Mr. Hiatt retired from the State Highway Department in 1999. He liked camping, fishing, NASCAR and spending time with his grandchildren. Born in Kentucky Aug. 21, 1945, Mr. Hiatt was the son of William B. and Rose Gribbins Hiatt. He is survived by a daughter, Donna (Rex) Littiken of Columbus; grandchildren, Jamison McFarlane, Brandon McFarlane and Shelby Littiken; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a brother, Charles (Libby) Hiatt of Florida; and sisters, Opal (Mel) Behrman of Columbus, Betty (Bob) Hall of Columbus, Linda (Rick) McFall of Scipio, Donna (Kenny) McLean of Columbus, Sandy (Phil) Arnholt of Scipio, and Pam Maschino of Columbus. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Hiatt. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Larry Calhoun officiating. CALLING: 9 a.m. until service time Friday. BURIAL: Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Donations Information Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Jennings County.
