Donna Henderson, 70, of Peppertree Lane, died at 2:25 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Miller's Merry Manor. Donna graduated from Hauser High School in 1960 and was employed by Bartholomew County REMC for 42 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of Clifford Order of the Eastern Star. Donna was a Christian. Her hobbies included sewing, watching NASCAR and spending time with her family. Born in Campbellsville, Ky., June 21, 1941, Donna was the daughter of Bert and Mattie Leach Henderson. She is survived by a daughter, Julie D. White, Columbus, IN; a brother, Richard "Butch" (Lynn) Cox, Madison, IN; a sister, Phyllis (Tom) Walker, Columbus, IN; and a grandchild, Robert R. (Allyson) Talkington Jr., Columbus, IN. The family would also like to recognize Joe Hofelich for the care and compassion he gave to Donna the last two years of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents and an aunt and uncle, Hershel and Emma Frazee. SERVICES: A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in Section 86 at Garland Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Wes Jones officiating. MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society, 941 E. 86th St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.

Your mom was so sweet to us when we were kids! I loved spending the night at your house and listening to your mom’s records – she always made sure we had fun. I remember her helping me wash my hair in the kitchen sink…not sure why that has stuck with me, but it has. You and your family are in my prayers.
