VISITATION: 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: East Columbus United Methodist Church or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home. Donna K. Whipker, 66, of North Brooks St, died at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014. Donna was born November 3, 1947 in Columbus, the daughter of Donald Eugene and Bessie Wood Walters. She married Joe Bill Whipker October 7, 1967. Donna graduated from Columbus High School in 1966. She retired from the Bartholomew County Clerk's Office and was a member of East Columbus United Methodist Church. Donna enjoyed traveling, arts and crafts and spending time with her family. Survivors include her father, Donald Eugene (Doris) Walters of Lady Lake, FL; her husband, Joe Bill Whipker of Columbus; a son, Kristopher Joseph (Genay) Whipker of Columbus; a daughter, Jenny (Darren) Davis of Columbus; brothers, Kenneth Walters of Omaha, Nebraska, Donald (Lisa) Walters of Naples, FL and Charles Walters of Lady Lake; a step-sister, Jodi Edwards Lassiter of Lady Lake, and one grandchild, Coleen Davis . She was preceded in death by her her mother, Bessie Walters.
