Dora Fay Lucas Smeltzer, 58, of Seymour, passed away December 24, 2021 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. She was born October 6, 1963 in Columbus to the late James Edward and Dorothy Jean Lucas.
Dora was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed swimming, fishing and walking. She adored her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday January 5, 2021 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with visitation beginning at Noon. Dora will be laid to rest with her parents in Garland Brook Cemetery at a later date.
Dora is survived by her daughters, Alisha Hempstead of North Vernon and Leslie White, sons, David Seniours and William Fields, Jr; brother, James Dale Lucas; sisters, Dee Ross, Frances Arie (Jonathon) Roberts and Lora Gladden; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Dora was preceded in death by her parents and a brother George Lucas.
