Doris Jean Trimpe, 98, of Columbus, passed away at her home at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Doris was born on January 15, 1925, to William C. Kasperlain and Mary A. Whipperman Kasperlain. She married Edward James Trimpe on June 29, 1946, at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Doris was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in 1939 by Rev. EH Eggers and graduated from Shields High School in 1943. Doris was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a current member of St. Peter Lutheran Church-Waymansville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, November 24, 2023, at St. Peter Lutheran Church-Waymansville with Pastor Erik Sorenson officiating. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Burial will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery-Waymansville.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church -Endowment Fund.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Minor of Columbus, IN.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Kasperlain; husband, Edward James Trimpe on April 1, 2002; brothers, Robert H. and Hubert W. Kasperlain and son-in-law, Raymond Minor.
