Doris Jean White August 13, 1930 - February 20, 2008 Doris Jean White, 77 formerly from Columbus, Indiana, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 after a brief illness in Mesa, AZ. Born August 13, 1930 in Randolf County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Steward and Edna (Love) Thorn. Jean graduated from Lynn High School in 1948 and married Robert E. White in August of 1949. Jean and Bob lived most of their adult lives in and around Columbus, Indiana until Bobs death in 1972, after which she moved to Arizona. In Arizona Jean worked for CPS Direct Marketing, SkyMall and ManPower before retiring in 1997. Later she enjoyed being a hostess at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater and made many friendships among her guests and co-workers. She is survived by her daughter Bobbi Glover and her husband Byron of Mesa, AZ and two sons Steven White (Rosemary) of Castle Rock, CO and Martin White (Patrice) of Toledo, OH., three grandsons; Sam Glover of Mesa, Jonathan White of Toledo, OH and Alex White of Castle Rock, one granddaughter Amanda of Castle Rock, and one great-grand daughter Jackie also of Castle Rock. She is also survived by two sisters, Marla and Rita; brothers Richard (Dick) and Larry and many much beloved nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death, in addition to Bob, are her brothers Harold and Paul and sisters Betty and Virginia. Her wish to be laid to rest beside her husband at Garland Brook in Columbus will be honored by her children.
