Dot Stott AmRhein, 74, of 12th Street, died at 9:20 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, at her home. Dot was born March 21, 1941, in Smith County, Mississippi, the daughter of William P. and Ernestine (Stringer) Hill. She was a former restaurant owner and dental technician and retired from Four Seasons Retirement Center as dining room manager. Dot was a member of The Ridge and loved to cook, watch NASCAR and fish. Survivors include her sons, Billy (Beth) Stott and Mike Stott, both of Columbus; daughter, Stacy (Doug) Southern of Columbus; brothers, Larry Blakeney of Laurel, Mississippi, Randy Blakeney of Laurel, Mississippi, and Mike Blakeney of Monrol, Louisiana; sister, Wanda Jordan of Taylorsville, Mississippi; grandchildren, Samantha Morgan, Justin Stott, Chad Stott, Matthew Stott, Kyle Stott, Adam Stott, Whitney Bunting and Jennifer Bunting; and great-grandchildren, Ryker Stott, Marli Stott, Braxton Morgan, Lain Morgan, Alaura Bunting and Ashlyn Dunham. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jackie Stott.

  4. What a great friend we have lost, heaven has another angel. Thank you for your friendship Dot. I’ve known you my whole life and will miss you dearly. I am so glad i was able to spend time with you last January, never thought it would be the last. My heart goes out to all Dot’s children, Billy, Mike & Stacy and all the grandchildren which she adored also her siblings she was so happy to have found. She loved all of you so much. Rest in peace my friend. Until we meet again I will cherish the memories we’ve had over the years.
