MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Dorothy Evelyn Nay, 95, of Heritage Road, Columbus, died Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 6:05 p.m. at Our Hospice of Central Indiana. She was a homemaker, a beloved and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother. She was the mother of 4 sons, John R. Nay (deceased), James E. Nay, William H. Nay, and David R. Nay. Dorothy was born in Columbus, Indiana, February 6, 1919, the daughter of Fidelas W. and Bonnie K. King. She went to grade school at McKinley School and attended Central High School. She married John H. Nay on March 2, 1940. He preceded her in death April 19, 2003 after celebrating 63 years of marriage. Survivors include: Sons: James (Linda) Nay and William (Nancy) Nay of Columbus and David Nay of Elizabethtown; Daughter-in-law, Jan Nay of Chagrin Falls, OH; Grandchildren: Chris (Patrice) Nay of Dublin, OH, Brad Nay of Charidon, OH, Chad (Ann) Nay of Carmel, IN, Alison (Jeramie)Vandergriff, Josh (Tracy) Nay, Valerie McCarty, and Elizabeth Nay, all of Columbus, and Alex Nay of Stuart, FL; Great grandchildren: Andrew Barker of Zephyrhills, FL, Louie Vandergriff, Leigh Vandergriff, Andrew Nay, Shelby Nay, and Yolandi Mikulyuk, all of Columbus. Great, great grandson, Atlas Storm of Zephyrhills, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John H. Nay, her son, John R. Nay, her great grandson, Charlie David Vandergriff, and her brothers, Basil King, Raymond King, and step-brother Charles Thomas.
