"Dottie" Jessie, 71, of Rosedale Drive, died Friday, September 4, 2015, at her home. Dottie was born November 11, 1943 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, the daughter of Harry and Bertha Fishburn Huddleston. She first married William W. Jessie. After his death, she married Hazel D. Grissom. Dottie was a member of Columbus General Baptist Church and was a doting and loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her son, Mark W. Jessie of Columbus; step daughter, Robin (Randy) Sowders of Greensburg; brothers, Paul Douglas (Bridgette) Huddleston of Azalia, Edward Huddleston of Columbus, William (Wanda) Huddleston of Columbus, Noah Jewell Huddleston of Columbus and Eugene (Jean) Huddleston of North Vernon; a sister, Edith (Clarence) Durham of Seymour; grandson, Jason Jessie; and step grandchildren,Delmer Andrew Sowders and Trevor Sowders. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William W. Jessie; second husband, Hazel D. Grissom; and a sister, Anne Piper.






I am so sorry for your loss.. Words can not convey what her and your dad meant to me.. love you and please call me if you need anything. RIP Dottie.. i will see you again…

Aunt Dottie made the best hot pickles ever. I remember going to her house and coming home with several jars. Love you Aunt Dottie. Miss you much.
