MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Keepsake Village of Columbus or Donor's choice of charities. Dorothy "Grandma Dot" Jackson, 97, passed away at 12:02 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at Keepsake Village. She was born, August 20, 1916, in Indianapolis, where she was raised and later became a dental assistant. Upon retirement in 1979, she moved to Columbus, to be near her daughter and family. Survivors include her daughter, Pat (Don) Schmidt; grandchildren, Kimberly Schmidt, and Donald A. (Linda) Schmidt; great-grandsons, Collin and Griffin Schmidt, and Brandon and Kip Corya; great-granddaughters, Adriana, Myla and Taylor Corya, and Felicity and Mahlia; a brother, Eugene Borneman of Logansport; several nieces and nephews; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Christian and Maude Grace Hinton Borneman; two brothers; a sister; her first husband, Charles "Rip" Sullivan; and her second husband, John L. Jackson.
