Edwards, 64, of North Vernon, died at 8:09 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Douglas was born September 15, 1950 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of William G. and Bernice M. Zander Edwards. He married Brenda C. Harris March 16, 1996. Douglas served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years as an aircraft mechanic. After retiring from the navy, he worked 10 years at Como Plastics, until the time they closed. Douglas enjoyed woodworking. Survivors include his wife, Brenda; daughters, Teresa L. Blair of Edinburgh, Kathy M. (Al) Grimm of Edinburgh, Sandy K. (D.J.) Kirk of North Vernon, Tamie Whitis of Franklin and Billy Jo Parks of Columbus; sister, Laura Jean Edwards of Cedar Springs, MI; grandchildren, Chelsie McFall, Brandon Acton, Ashley Daniels, Tray Shepherd, Tommy McFall, Anthony Edwards, Niki Daniels, Kristin Grimm, Valerie Purdue, Johnathon Purdue, Kyle Grimm, Jaylin Ashler, Damian Blair, William Anderson, Kyrstin Mills, Rayne Parks and Desirae Allen; and great grandchildren, Jayden Dykes, Brayleigh Barriger, Jermiah Daniels and Blakelyn McFall. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a stepson, Thomas McFall.
