MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home to help with final expenses. Douglas W. Houchens, 38, of Noblesville, died at 7:03 a.m. May 20, 2018, at his home. Douglas was born October 5, 1979, in Columbus the son of Lawrence Eugene Graham and Nettie C. Houchens. He previously attended IUPUI in Columbus, where he studied finance. He was an artist, an adventurist and loved to travel whether it was local or abroad. Some of his favorite experiences were zip lining in Mexico, riding scooters in St. Maarten, staying at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, and visiting Wall Street, which went hand-in-hand with his love of finance. Douglas enjoyed music, taught himself how to play the guitar and piano, and loved to go four-wheeling with is daughter, Shaden. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. There will be no funeral service.   Memorials may be made to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home to help with final expenses. Survivors include his mother, Nettie C. Houchens of Columbus; daughter, Shaden Houchens of Hudson, Florida; fiancée, Kayla Kerfoot of Noblesville; sisters, Lana Miller of Columbus and Scarlet Delaney of Kentucky; nieces and nephews, Alisha Satkowiak, Annie and Kenyan Miller, Alexander and Kadin Pattingill, Natosha Chavez, Kanesha Ortiz, Juana and Raquel Zapo, Tymesha Jarquin, Leticia and Brianna Delaney, and Chelsea and Nicholas Nicholson; great nieces and nephews, Karmyn, Dawson, Annabela, Ariana, Bryson, Cristian, Layla, Issac and Xemina; and his four-legged son, Rolo. He was preceded in death by his father; sisters, Jennifer Zapo and Michelle Houchens; an aunt, Phyllis Shrum; grandparents, Christine and Edward Houchens and Lawrence and Christine Graham; and a nephew, Larry Delaney.
