Earl Mann, 79, of Columbus, died at 8:57 a.m. August 2, 2020, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Earl was born April 1, 1941, in Gravel Switch, Kentucky, the son of Earl and Marie Bowman Mann. He married Evelyn Sue Burns on June 4, 1960, she survives. Earl was the owner of E & E Contractors, Hope Greenhouse and Flower Shop and Earl’s place in Columbus. Earl was a member of the Indiana Carpenter’s Union and for 20 years was the board of director’s at Carpet Mania. Earl’s hobbies include fishing, working on cars and an avid collector of many things. A loving family man, Earl will be greatly missed by all that knew him. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2020, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Justin Surface officiating. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service time on Friday. Interment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. All visitors are required to wear face masks. Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in memory of Earl. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; sons, Clinton (Kelly Knulf) Mann of Columbus and Robert (Stacey) Mann of Taylorsville, and a daughter, Debra (Gary) Ballard of Hope; brothers, Mike (Lou Ann) Morrow of Columbus, Edwin (Donna) Morrow of Lafayette, and a sister, Patty Brown of Franklin; brother-in-law, Bruce Huxhold; grandchildren, Amanda Munn, Brittany Burton, Justin Mann, Jenna Malinsky, and Tyler Mann; and 11 great-grandchildren.. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Joyce Huxhold and a brother-in-law, Dean Brown. Arrangements provided by the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.   5. Earl was just a spectacular human being. Hard-working and super kind; I only go to know him through working at Carpet Mania for about 9 months but even a couple years later he recognized me in a store and said hello. Love and light to his whole family 💖
