Elizabeth Morris, 92, died at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Kindred Transitional Care in Columbus. Mrs. Morris was a homemaker and seamstress. She made bridal fashions and loved making doll clothes. She also, along with her husband, enjoyed raising roses and had over 50 different kinds. She was a member of Sandy Hook United Methodist Church, taught Sunday school and Junior Church for many years and was always involved in VBS. She also made many banners for the church that were used in the sanctuary. Her favorite "job" at church was rocking the babies in the church nursery. She enjoyed her volunteer work as a Pink Lady at Columbus Regional Hospital. She worked with the hospital auxiliary for 20 years and worked 10 years in the chaplain's aid office. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and was a Tony Stewart fan. There will be no calling hours. Private family burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Born September 16, 1920, Mrs. Morris was the daughter of William N. and Annabelle Bradbury Williams. She married Leland R. Morris on June 26, 1943, in Tacoma, Washington. They moved to Columbus and lived in the same home for 60 years. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Phillip) Voss of Columbus; grandchildren, Mark E. (Robin) Voss of Seymour, Leigh Anne Voss of Columbus, Matthew A. (Charissa) Voss of Williams, IN, Richard Michael (Krystal) Morris of Bargersville, IN, Adam Morris of Orlando, FL, Erin (Ed) Engelau of Seymour, IN, and Andrea Morris of Columbus, IN; nine great-grandchildren; two nephews; and one niece in California. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Leland R. Morris; a son, William "Mike" Morris; a granddaughter, Shannon Morris; a stepson, Robert E. Morris; four brothers; and one sister..
