Elsie May Yeley Khune February 14, 1916 - November 04, 2009 Elsie Yeley Khune, 93, of 14th Street died at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Khune worked at JayC stores for 26 years. She had been a member of East Columbus Christian Church since 1955 and was a former member of Order of the Eastern Star. She loved basketball. Born in Jackson County Feb. 14, 1916, Mrs. Khune was the daughter of Bruce and Stella Jarvis Shutters. She married Edgar R. Yeley and Irvin Khune. Survivors include a son, Eddie (Dixie M.) Yeley of Columbus; a stepson, Dennis Khune of Columbus; a stepdaughter, Charlotte Fox of Columbus; a brother, Raymond Shutters of Columbus; grandchildren, Craig Yeley, Steve Yeley and Shari Wendel, all of Columbus; and great-grandchildren, Jessica Yeley, Miranda Yeley, Dylan Yeley, Ethan Yeley, Drew Yeley, Sydney Wendel and Avery Wendel. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a stepdaughter, Sharon Stickens; sisters, Fern Hammonds, Beatrice Hochadel and Edith Hawn; and a brother, Bruce Shutters Jr. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 9 a.m. Monday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev.
