Emogene was born April 18, 1922, in Bartholomew County, the daughter of Charles Wesley and Ida Merritt Stockhover. Emogene retired from Cummins in 1983 after 43 years of service. Wayne, Sherry Lynnn White of Salem, Mark Stockhover of Indianapolis and Don Michael Wells, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald M. Stockhover and Edwin D. Sctockhover; and sisters, Geraldine Wells and Mary Helen Harms.

I remember Emogene from the time I worked at Cummins from 1954 to 1957 in the mail room. I also remember Pete and Mary Helen Harms and their (then little) son who lived next door to my family, Bill and Midge Sheets and me, Janet on Gilmore Street. This is also a hello to Jerry Joe.
I met Emmy when I went to work at GOB for John Collier. I don’t remember name of group. I was told she didn’t drive and had never owned a car and that she walked back in forth to work both ways every day no matter what the weather was. Everyone was getting their own PC and she just wasn’t interested in learning something new. Not that she couldn’t have, that’s for sure. She retired shortly after that. I liked Emmy very much. She was a very nice lady. Rest in Peace, Emmy. You will be greatly missed always. Hugs.
