Eugene Castle, 82, of Columbus, died at 1:16 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2019, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. He was born April 25, 1936, in Johnson County, Kentucky. He married Peggy Lou Bradford December 28, 1957, and had 61 years of marriage. Eugene was an avid bass fisherman and competed in numerous tournaments. He was a 32 Degree Mason and a member of Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine. In keeping with his wishes there will be a celebration of life with family and friends at a later date. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughters, Kimberly Richards of Seymour and Beverly (John) Wampler of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Melissa (Aaron) Brown, Shane (Angela) Johnson, Kyle Wampler and Kayla Wampler; great-grandchildren,Christopher Asbury, Cody Brown, Allyson Brown, Tyler Emily, Taleigha Johnson, Landon Johnson and Nakia Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Conner Asbury. He was preceded in death by his foster parents, Ralph and Martha Chatham of Carroll County, Kentucky; and an infant daughter, Leesa Castle.
