Evelyn was a member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church on Georgetown Road. She loved to garden and watch sports and enjoyed reading. She was an excellent cook and baker. Evelyn loved children and most of all, her family. Born April 6, 1926, Evelyn was the daughter of Charles Gribbins and Mattie Coulter Gribbins. She married Ernest Jaggers Jan. 26, 1946. He preceded her in death March 8, 2000. She is survived by a son, Ernest M. (Marilyn) Jaggers of Columbus, IN; daughters, Joyce (Randall) Burton of Taylorsville, IN, and Debra A. (David) Ness of Columbus, IN; a brother, William Gribbins, Springfield, KY; a sister, Irene Caffee, Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Kim (John) Walters, Matthew (Christy) Dewees, Shannon (Randy) Krebbs, Amber (Jessie) Stickle, Nicholas Brooks, Trista (Tony) Ammerman; four stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, George Raymond Jaggers; brothers, Robert Gribbins and John Buddy Gribbins; and sisters, Martha Sissy Barlow, Lucy Bell Gribbins, Catherine Jaggers, Dorothy Fields, and Rose Hiatt.
