Kennedy, 89, of Columbus, died at 7:53 p.m. September 10, 2018, at Baptist Health in Louisville. Evelyn was born August 26, 1929, in Bloomington, the daughter of Newman and Mary M. Edge Bennett. She married William G. Kennedy January 21, 1950, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2006. She was a member of New Hope Christian Church. Evelyn and her family lived in the Northgate addition for over 50 years, forming bonds with many of the neighbors they lived by. Evelyn was very devoted to her family and a caregiver to anyone around her.    Survivors include her son, David G. (Nancy) Kennedy of New Albany and daughter, Donna K. Richard of Columbus; son-in-law, James Wesley of Franklin; a sister, Genevieve Sater of Sullivan; grandchildren, Felicia (Jay) Miller, Cyndi Wesley-Wright, Deanna (Aaron) Kirkwood, Sarah Peterson, Amy (Jason) Overshiner, Sara (Stephen) Guthrie, Cody (Aubree Hilderbrand) Richard and Logan Richard; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Wright, Jack Miller, Ty Miller, Ella Kirkwood, Carly Kirkwood, Nora Guthrie and Elliott Guthrie. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; daughter, Brenda Wesley; son-in-law, Steven Richard; brothers, James Bennett and Lee Edward Bennett and sisters, Mary Kean, Ida Hammond, Pauline Bennett and JoAnn Bennett.
