Evelyn Veloura Branum July 10, 1931 - February 07, 2006 Evelyn Veloura Branum, 74, of Scipio, went home to be with the Lord at 4:50 p.m. Feb. 7, 2006. Mrs. Branum retired from Dolly Madison Bakery and was the mother of Messiah Baptist Church. She loved worshipping God, hearing her children sing and spending time with her family. Born in Pineville, Ky., July 10, 1931, Mrs. Branum was the daughter of Andrew and Bessie Detherage Bays. She married Willie H. Jack Branum Sept. 24, 1950. Survivors include five children, Terry (Margaret) Branum of North Vernon, Jerry (Veronica) Branum, Rhonda (Daryl) Eickbush and Susan (Tom) Morris, all of Columbus, and Jackie (Jerry) Luhn of Scipio; brothers, Lonnie and Tim Bays of Kentucky and Ronald Bays of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five sisters; and a grandson, Thomas Morris. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Revs. Ronnie Bays and Darrell Blondell officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery. Donations Information MEMORIALS: Messiah Baptist Church Building Fund.   4. You have been gone 11 years today mom. Not a day goes by that you are not missed! I love you so much! You were my best friend and everyone knows we were inseparable! I know you are singing in that heavenly choir! If I close my eyes in the quiet of the night, I can hear you singing. Oh how I miss your beautiful voice!
