Everett B. Buster Cowan, 91, of Midway Street, died at 1:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2005 at Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Everett was born and raised in West Virginia. He retired in 1981 after many years as a security guard in Atlanta, Ga. and had also worked as a coal miner. He served in the Merchant Marine. His hobbies included fishing and playing cards and bingo. Everett attended Trafalgar Wesleyan Church.
Mr. Cowan was born Dec. 21, 1913 in Timbroke, W.Va., the son of Stewart and Lulu Emma Collins Cowan.
Survivors include a nephew, Thomas Cowan of Whiteland; greatnieces, Cheryl Wallen of Columbus, Cindy Polley of Brown County, Cathy Lawson of Scipio and Candace Thistleton of Morgantown; and 15 greatgreatnieces.
Everett was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
