FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 11988 Indiana 46 Columbus, IN 47203 with the Rev. Ancel Harden and the Rev. Robert Lay officiating. VISITATION: 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. BURIAL: Bear Creek Baptist Cemetery. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, 11988 E. State Road 46, Columbus, IN 47203; Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E. 17th Street, Columbus, IN 47201; or the Hawcreek Flat Rock Endowment Fund, 404 Jackson St., Hope, IN 47246. Florene Faye Cox, 94, of Columbus, formerly of Hope, died at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at her home. Faye was very active in her church, Shiloh Baptist Church. She loved to bowl, play games and camp and also enjoyed sewing. She also was an avid collector of pig figurines. Born in Bartholomew County June 11, 1918, Faye was the daughter of Grant O'Neal and Linnie Barrett O'Neal. She married Francis O. Cox June 11, 1936. He preceded her in death Jan. 15, 2007. She is survived by children, Larry (Terrie) Cox of Columbus, IN, and Shirley (John) Robertson of Hope, IN; grandchildren, Skip (Cathy) Robertson of Arlington Heights, IL, Steve (Lori) Robertson of Hope, IN, Patrick Cox and John Cox, both of Columbus, IN, and Carrie (Chris) Thompson of Elizabethtown, IN; great-grandchildren, Megan (Troy) Ripley of Grays Lake, IL, Matthew (Alycia) Robertson of Arlington Heights, IL, Stephanie Robertson of High Point, NC, Brad Robertson of Hope, IN, Jordan Cox of Columbus, IN, Delaney Thompson, Luke Thompson and Kendall Thompson, all of Elizabethtown, IN; and a great-great-grandson, Graycen Ripley of Grays Lake, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Carl O'Neal, Harold O'Neal, Ernest O'Neal, Hubert O'Neal and Roy O'Neal; and sisters, Myrl Taylor, Lorene O'Neal and Ethel Straub.
