SERVICES: 1:00 p.m. Monday May 4, 2015 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home OFFICIATING CLERGY: John Marquis FINAL RESTING PLACE: Garland Brook Cemetery VISITATION: 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Flossie Opal Parker, 80, of Columbus, Indiana, died at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015, at her home. Flossie was born July 10, 1934 in Glasgow, Kentucky, the daughter of Wilford and Flossie Ruby Hagan Morgan. She married Eugene W. Parker January 3, 1953. Survivors include her husband, Eugene W. Parker of Columbus,; Terry (Cheryl) Parker of Columbus; brother, Wayne (Kay) Morgan of Glasgow; sister, Dorothy (Cecil) Edwards of Barren County, KY; grandchildren, Nick, Derek and Chelsey Parker; and one great grandchild, Owen Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilford and Flossie Ruby (Hagan) Morgan; daughter, Peggy Parker; brothers, Hobert, George and Charles Morgan; and a sister, Francies Houchens.

  4. I worked with Opal at Hills. She was always very nice to me and everyone else. I really enjoyed working with her. I am sorry to see that she passed.

I know you will walk in heaven with Peggy and know you will be happy to be together again. My thoughts and prayers are with Gene and Terry as they deal with your loss. You were a wonderful woman and just wanted to say you touched my life forever
