Forrest D. Hayford March 21, 1925 - July 03, 2008 Forrest D. Hayford, 83, of Taylor Road, Columbus, Ind., died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at 5:32 p.m. at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. Forrest was employed at Arvin Industries for 43 years, retiring as a Product Engineer. He enjoyed collecting and dealing in antiques and loved doing things outdoors. He was a member Sandy Hook United Methodist Church and Club 50. He enjoyed being around people and loved spending time with friends and family. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Hayford was born March 21, 1925 in Adrian, Mich., the son of Allen and Luella Bennett Hayford. Survivors include a son, F. Dale (Paula) Hayford Jr. of Columbus, Ind.; a daughter, Connie S. (Robert E.) Miller of Nashville, Ind.; grandchildren, Karen Marie (Scott) Stanley, Michelle Marie (Greg) Davidson, Christopher Paul (Misty) Main and Lisa S. (Ryan) Willoughby; step grandchildren, Robert Kevin Miller and Ronald Lee Miller; five brothers; two sisters and nine great-grandchildren. Forrest was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Esther Marie Smith Hayford in September 1954; six brothers and two sisters. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2008, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Russell officiating. VISITATION: 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008, and one hour prior to the service on Monday. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery with military rites by the Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.
