Forrest Eugene Cummings

Forrest Eugene Cummings, 89, of Indianapolis, formerly of Columbus, died at 8:34 p.m. November 26, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital in indianapolis. Forrest was born December 4, 1928, in Bedford, the son of Morris D. and Daisy Stewart Cummings. He married Patricia Fahay July 12, 1950, and she preceded him in death August 13, 2000. He then married Roberta Rasner on November 11, 2002, and she preceded him in death August 8, 2018. He served in the army as a private 1st class and medical corpsman while stationed in both San Antonio, Texas, and San Francisco, California. Forrest was employed at Curtis Automotive in Bedford from 1948 – 1954 and retired from Hartup Tool.He enjoyed dancing, playing the organ, boating, motorcycles and tinkering. The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Calling will be noon until time of service Saturday. Burial will be at Mundell Church Cemetery, Heltonville, Indiana.Survivors include his son, Jon Cummings of Indianapolis; and a brother, Clyde Cummings of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by his parents; both spouses; and a sister, Doris Sagers.
