Saturday at the funeral home MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: American Cancer Society Frances Louise Ford Rutan, 91, of Fairfield, Illinois, formerly of Columbus, died at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday July 23, 2014 at her daughter's home. Frances was born June 24, 1923 in Shelbyville, Indiana, the daughter of Lee and Edna Cauzzort Fetter. She first married Howard Ford, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her was her second husband, Don Rutan. Frances was a nurse's aide at Columbus Regional Hospital from 1951 - 1973. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and quilting. Survivors include her son, Mike (Judy) Ford of Nashville, Indiana; daughters, Sally (Randy) Fry of Dallas, Texas and Pat Frankland and Beverly (John) Rister all of Fairfield, Illinois; a brother, Paul E. (Valaria) Fetter of Columbus; ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and one sister.
