Frances R. Kenney November 25, 1917 - November 22, 2007 Frances R. Kenney, 89, of Taylor Road, died at 7:03 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at Four Seasons Retirement Center in Columbus. Ms. Kenney attended St. Marys of Notre Dame and the University of New Mexico. She worked as an archeologist at Ghost Ranch in New Mexico and other Native American sites in the Southwest. After moving to Columbus 24 years ago, she worked as Curator for the Bartholomew County Historical Society. She was a compassionate, courageous, gracious volunteer, giving of herself and her wisdom to others. To know her was to love her. Born Nov. 25, 1917, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Joseph Peter and Sarah Shirk Rolles. Survivors include sons Joseph W. (Christine) Kenney of Austin, Texas and Philip M. Kenney of Baltimore, Maryland; daughters Elizabeth K. Sukey (Bill) Nie of Columbus and Mary K. (Ty) Estlick of Edina, Mn; a brother Joseph P. Rolles of Florida; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral Information SERVICES: A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 at Four Seasons Retirement Center Chapel with the Rev. Norie Erickson officiating. VISITATION: 2 p.m. until service time Saturday. Donations Information MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bartholomew County Historical Society or Hospice of South Central Indiana.
