Frank H. Gassaway April 05, 1924 - February 14, 2006 Frank H. Gassaway, 81, of Gassaway Lake, Elizabethtown, died at 2:24 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006, at his home. Mr. Gassaway lived his early life in Kentucky before moving to Indiana. He was employed at Stadler Packing for 36 years, retiring in 1982. He was owner of Kings Lake and his family has operated Gassaway Lake since 1991. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, ball games, auto racing, dancing and life in general. He loved children and his family. Born in Glasgow, Ky., April 5, 1924, Mr. Gassaway was the son of Robert and Meade Williams Gassaway. He married Helen M. Michaels July 15, 1958. Survivors include his wife; sons, Danny F. (Robin) Gassaway and Greg Gizmo Gassaway, both of Gassaway Lake, Elizabethtown; a sister, Margaret Chaplin of Columbus; and grandchildren, Joey and Ryan Gassaway, both of Gassaway Lake, Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Natalie Gassaway; sisters, Vangie Palmore, Polly Johnson and Annie Mary Robinson; and brothers, Joe, John Henry, Bobby, Charlie and Richard Dickie Gassaway. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2006 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. VISITATION: 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until service time Friday.
