Jerry Greene FINAL RESTING PLACE: Garland Brook Cemetery VISITATION: 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home Frank Terry Underwood, age70, of Columbus, died at 12:34 a.m. Saturday May 17, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Frank was born December 2, 1943 in Columbus to the late Frank and Geneva (Wilkerson) Underwood. He was the owner and operator of Frank's Tree Service for the past 40 years. Previously, he was employed by Cosco for 18 years. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Morgan Underwood whom he married November 20, 1981; 2 sons, Kelly K. Smith and Scott D. (Karen) Smith; grandson, Lane Elliott Smith, all of North Vernon; brother, Revis (Joyce) Underwood of Phoenix, AZ and 4 sisters, Pam Richards of Elizabethtown; Leta (Charles) Johnson of Laurel; Brenda Eldridge and Jennie Mae Underwood, both of Indianapolis. Frank was preceded in death by a brother George Ed Underwood. Funeral services for Mr. Underwood will be held on Tuesday May 20, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Pastor Jerry Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.






Our hearts are heavy today for the loss of our dear neighbor, Frank Underwood. We are thankful for knowing him the past eight years. He has treated us like family and he and his beautiful wife, Joyce, have both blessed our lives in so many ways. Our prayers are with you Joyce and with the entire family. Frank will be greatly missed.

Frank will be miss by Housing Partnerships Inc. Frank always treated us very well on every job he done for us. Not only was he an good business man but a all round good man.Our prayers are with you.
