Gary M. Kolopanis

Gary M. Kolopanis, 66, of Columbus, passed away Friday November 27, 2020 at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born August 7, 1954 in Columbus to the late George J and Dorothy J. (Snyder) Kolopanis.
Gary retired from Dolly Madison Bakery. He was a member of the HOG Group and Abate of Indiana. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Gwen Kolopanis and her husband, Thomas W. Tabor of Edinburgh; brother, George (Phyllis) Kolopanis of Illinois; sister Karen (Mike) Madson of Arkansas and a granddaughter, Cheyenne M. Tabor.
A memorial service celebrating Gary’s life will be held at a later date. You are invited to light a virtual candle and send a message of condolence to the Kolopanis family via the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home website.

Gary will be greatly missed by all of the Dolly Madison employees. He always made me laugh when he sang the meow mix song on the intercom for all to enjoy, your friend, Jonathan
Gary was a fun soldier to be around when we served together in the same platoon in the 1438th Trans Co at Camp Atterbury and somehow he could always bring a smile to anyone’s face and was a hard worker
