She married Benjamin Franklin Lowery in 1941 and he preceded her in death.  She then married Carl L. Mullikin on September 13, 1948, and they remained together until his passing in 1988.  She was a mother to 10 children and a grandmother to any and all who stopped to visit.  She is survived by sons, Charles A. Mullikin of Martinsville, Indiana, Carl L. Mullikin Jr. of Napoleon, Indiana, Robert Dale Mullikin of Westport, Indiana; daughters, Phyllis Joan Mounce of Hope, Indiana, Mary Genetta Conrad of North Vernon, Indiana, Sharman Kay Barwick of Elizabethtown, Indiana, Tina Marie McNicholas of Hope, Indiana and Teresa Davis of Elizabethtown, Indiana; sisters, Geraldine Stephens of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Mary Lee Woods of Ocala, Florida, Nina Colleen Barnes of Shirley, Indiana and Bobbie Aileen Wright of Corbin, Kentucky; 62 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. In her time, she lost many people she loved.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, a son, Paul Brent Mullikin; and a daughter, Bennie Imogene Gill; three brothers; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. But she bore these losses, carried those burdens, and guided a large family through these and all troubled times with grace, wisdom, and a love great enough to change the world, as she changed the world for each and every one of us lucky enough to have to have been a part of her life. Geneva was widely known for making world class waffles, pies and noodles; and the best fried chicken that ever graced this earth.  She was kind, generous, and cared for all who ever knew her.  A health care worker by trade, she tirelessly cared for many people in their advanced age, with the same grace and caring she devoted to her own family.  She attended to each and every person in her life as though they were the most important person in the world, because to her, in that moment, they were exactly that.  She gave her grandchildren ice cream cones so full that you could never eat them before they melted, sang hymns in her kitchen while she worked, and without even trying, and made the world a better place just by being in it. The funeral will be conducted at 1p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Lonnie Goins officiating.  Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Johnson County, Indiana. Memorial donations may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Mt. Pleasant Cemetery through the funeral home.
