Geobel W. Gaffney July 01, 1942 - June 21, 2010 Geobel W. Gaffney, 67, Columbus, died at 11:30 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis as a result of injuries suffered in a traffic accident. Geobel was a loving, caring person who was kind to everything. Geobel never met a stranger and was willing to help anyone he met. He was fascinated with cars. Mr. Gaffney was born July 1, 1942 in Kentucky, the son of Geobel E. and Carrie Alcorn Gaffney. Survivors include half-brothers, Timothy Ross and Joseph Ross; sisters, Hazel (Robert) Bragg of Columbus and Jane Gambrel of Florida; half-sisters, Hope Ross, Star Ross and Bonnie Maxine Ross; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. CALLING: 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donors choice of charity.
