George Franklin Zimmerman September 30, 1922 - July 29, 2008 George Franklin Zimmerman, 85, of Elizabethtown died at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at his home. Mr. Zimmerman retired after working 34 years at Hamilton-Cosco where he was a journeyman toolmaker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the E.M.C. faith. Born in Kentucky Sept. 30, 1922, Mr. Zimmerman was the son of Charlie B. and Ethel Mary Stevens Zimmerman. He married Lena Eva Sidwell April 4, 1946. Survivors include his wife; a son, George (Debbie) Zimmerman Jr. of Elizabethtown; daughters, Shirlon (Thomas) Boswell, Barbara (Larry) Hardin, Dona (Greg) Kinworthy, Betty Elgar and Rebecca (Jack) Jeffries, all of Elizabethtown, Brenda (Mike) Carothers of Seymour and Chris (Bill) NeSmith of South Carolina; grandchildren, Cindy (Matt) Collins, Gary (Robin) Boswell, Mark (Sandy) Boswell, Debra (Doug) Woodard, Katina (Brian) Boccia, Sandi (Josh) Huddleston, Dustie (David) Doty, G.J.
