Gerald Dean Deano Hillenburg, 69, of Harvest Lane, died Dec. 1, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Hillenburg retired from Cummins Engine Company after 40 years of service. He was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of St. Johns Masonic Lodge No. 20 in Columbus.
Dean loved visiting with friends at Skooters and the Waffle House.
He loved his dog Mario and watching his favorite TV programs, WWE and NASCAR. His favorite music was gospel music.
Mr. Hillenburg was born Nov. 22, 1941 in Bloomington, the son of Early Jason and Clona Viola Kinser Hillenburg. He married Lois Kathleen Kathy Beasley June 21, 1963. She survives.
Survivors include his mother, of Mitchell; daughters, Deana Gayle Holley and Kimberly Diane Hillenburg, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Gregory S. Poe, Zachary T. Hillenburg, Hanna E. Michaelis, Nicholas B. Moore, Kyle D. Michaelis, Joshua G. Holley and Gracelyn R. Moore; a brother, Andy Kinser; and sisters, Judy Billet, Colleen Dike and Debbie Jo Hill.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral Information
FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Monday, December 6, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating.
CALLING: 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from noon until service time Monday.
BURIAL: Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
