Gerald F. Ruddell January 04, 1918 - October 14, 2010 Gerald F. Ruddell passed away October 14, 2010 at 9:00 p.m. at Silver Oaks Health Campus. He was age 92. Gerald was born in Knightstown, Indiana January 4, 1918 to Harold M. and Bernice B. Ruddell, both deceased. He married Lela Bernice Power(deceased) and had two sons, Gary L. Ruddell (Paula D.) and Robert E. Ruddell (Paula M.), they survive with their wives. Later me married Audrey M. Byers, deceased. Gerald is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gerald graduated from Sandusky High School in 1936. He then attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Gerald worked at Eli Lily & Company in Indianapolis, Indiana for 37 years before retiring in 1979. He enjoyed golf and fishing. After retiring he and wife Audrey moved to McAllen, Texas until her death in year 2000. Gerald then moved to Columbus, Indiana in June 2001. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. Declining health made him inactive in recent years. Funeral Information Burial will be at Forrest Park Cemetery in Indianapolis. Services will be private for family and are pending.
