FUNERAL: 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Galligar officiating CALLING: 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery MEMORIAL DONATIONS: St. Peter's Lutheran Church through the funeral home Gerhard H. Finke, 86, of Parkside Court, died at 8:18 p.m., May 18, 2017, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Gerhard was born October 4, 1930, in Columbus, the son of Gerhard W. and Selma L. Rittman Finke. He married Wilma Jean Stuckey June 10, 1956. He was a graduate of Columbus High School and a life-time member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. He was employed by Product Engineering Company for 48 years and was an avid gun collector. The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Galligar officiating. Calling will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church through the funeral home. Survivors include his sons, Jon Eric (Sandra Davis) Finke of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and Timothy Joel (Tami Caldwell) Finke of Carmel; daughter, Judith Finke Johnson of Bloomington; grandchildren, Eric Davis Finke, Morgan Skye Finke, Iesha Ann Johnson and Jasmin Jo Johnson; and step-grandchildren, Ashley Lease, Taylor Gonzalez and Bryer Lease. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerhard W. and Selma Finke; wife, Wilma; brother, Robert Finke; and a sister, Fazenda Darlage.

I loved you and wille so very much and loved learning and playing euchre many many night while visiting Don and Lou ( grandma and grandpa ) I have many treasured memories I will always hold dear in my heart and not that all 4 of you are in heaven God can be the referee for your card games to make sure no one is “cheating ” lol Love from our whole family “the Sharp girls ” Kathy, Jerri, Donna, and the “4th daughter” ME Angela

I always thought very highly of Jr. Finke. He was a good man and a great neighbor. Our family loved and really appreciated him (and Wilma) both. Deepest condolences to Jon, Tim, and Judy.
