Gladys Carol Harmon

Gladys Carol Harmon, age 67, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday October 14, 2020 at her home. She was born June 27, 1953 in Columbus to the late Marvin and Gladys Pauline (Holt) Petty. Carol was a member and attended the Neighborhood Church of God in Nineveh. She was devoted to her family and loved to keep her home beautiful. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday October 16, 2020 in Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh with Pastor Jim Albertson officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in memory of Carol may be made to the Neighborhood Church of God through the funeral home. Carol is survived by her son, Herman Ray “Bucky” (Kim) Norton, Jr. of Edinburgh; daughters, Donna Carol Norton-Neri of Columbus and Heather Norton of Edinburgh; her bonus daughter, Lisa Denson of Taylorsville; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Marvin Petty, Jr and David Ray Petty and sisters, Pamela Sue Petty and Sharon Kay Petty.
