SERVICES: 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. VISITATION: 1:00-3:00 P.M. Sunday, July 20, with one hour prior to service time Monday at the funeral home. FINAL RESTING PLACE: Garland Brook Cemetery. OFFICIATING: Rev. Robert Jackson. Gladys E. Zeigler, 76, of Taylorsville, died at 7:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Born May 28, 1938, in Edmonton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Jessie Marvin and Sallie Ella (Edwards) Parrigin and had lived in Indiana since the age of 9. In 1958, she married Horace Holcomb. Horace was in the military so he and Gladys had the opportunity to live in the Philippines, Japan and several states. They retired in 1977 and moved to Columbus. Horace preceded Gladys in death. In 1991, she married Alfred Zeigler, and continued living in Columbus after he preceded her in death. Gladys loved to be in her garden. Survivors include her son, Dale Holcomb of Houston, Texas; daughters, Sharon Hunt of Orlando, Florida, and Vicky (Brian) Brown of Taylorsville; brother, Albert (Dottie) Parrigin of Columbus; sisters, Joyce Moore, Mary Artis and Carol (Steve) Deppe, all of Columbus; and grandchildren, Samantha Christine Hunt, Thomas Victor Hanly and Joss Rochelle Morales. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Horace Holcomb; second husband, Alfred Zeigler; and brothers, Jessie Lenus Parrigin, James Paul Parrigin and Guy Burnice Parrigin
